KARACHI – Some relief for gold buyers in Pakistan as prices continued to decline. On Tuesday, the price of 24-karat gold slipped to Rs434,900 per tola amid weaker global bullion markets and investor profit-taking after last week’s record rally.
The latest drop has provided temporary relief to buyers who were grappling with record-high gold rates in recent weeks, although market analysts caution that prices remain historically elevated.
According to the latest bullion rates, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs2,500 per tola to Rs434,936. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs2,143, settling at Rs372,887. The rate of 22-karat gold also moved lower, with 10 grams priced at Rs341,825 after a decline of Rs1,300.
| Gold Unit | New Price |
| 24-karat Gold (per tola) | Rs434,936 |
| 24-karat Gold (10 grams) | Rs372,887 |
| 24-karat Silver (per tola) | Rs6,559 |
| International Gold (per ounce) | $4,125 |
Silver prices also remained under pressure in the domestic market. The price of 24-karat silver dropped by Rs120 per tola to Rs6,559, while the rate for 10 grams fell by Rs103 to Rs5,623.
The weakness in Pakistan’s bullion market mirrored the global trend. In international trading, gold prices declined by $25 per ounce to $4,125, while silver slipped $1.20 to $60.80 per ounce, reflecting a broader correction in precious metals.
Market analysts say the recent slide has been driven largely by investors locking in profits after gold touched exceptionally high levels in previous sessions. They also pointed to easing speculative demand, which has reduced buying momentum and contributed to the continued fall in prices.
