Sri Lanka has conveyed sadness at the tragic plane crash and expressed solidarity with government and people of Pakistan at the loss of precious lives. A message by the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry to Pakistan Foreign Office said Sri Lanka is saddened by the crash of PIA flight resulting in the loss of lives, adding, “We express our heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of Pakistan, particularly, the families of the deceased.” Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has thanked the Sri Lankan foreign minister for expressing solidarity in this moment of grief.
