ISLAMABAD – A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 13th floor of a building in Jinnah Gardens, Capital Enclave, Islamabad.
Unverified reports circulating on social media claim that the woman jumped from the floor of the Mall of Imarat where the famous Monal Restaurant is located.
The administration of the building and hotel has not issued any official statement in this regard.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining it from multiple perspectives.
A social media user claimed that the woman had visited the restaurant with a man. The couple reportedly engaged in a heated argument during their visit. Later, the woman allegedly jumped from the restaurant window following the altercation, resulting in her death at the scene.

Another social media user claimed that the victim has been identified as 42-year-old woman. He said details of the incident are yet to surface.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police, rescue teams, and other law enforcement officials reached the location, reports said.
The area was cordoned off, and evidence was collected from the scene. The body was later shifted to a hospital for legal procedures and post-mortem examination.
Police stated that it would be premature to classify the incident as suicide, as investigators are thoroughly reviewing all possible angles.
CCTV footage from the restaurant has reportedly been obtained, while statements from staff, eyewitnesses, and the young man accompanying the deceased are being recorded.
