Royal State Visit to Pakistan
At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, undertook a State Visit to Pakistan during the period (15 –16 November 2025).
Following are the important meetings and events during this state visit:
1- Prime Minister (Bilateral then expanded on delegation level), followed by signature ceremony of bilateral agreements.
2- Honorable President (expanded on delegation level).
3- Chief of Defense Forces/ Chief of Army Staff.
During the Royal Visit of HM to Pakistan, the following four agreements were signed:
• Cooperation Agreement between the Broadcasting Corporation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Radio and Television Corporation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
• Cooperation Agreement between Television Corporation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Radio and Television Corporation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
• Program for Cultural Cooperation between the two Governments.
• MoU between Pakistan Ministry of Federal Education, Professional Training and the University of Jordan for the establishment of Chair in Urdu and Pakistan studies at the University of Jordan.
Bilateral Economic Relations
Agreements & Memorandums of Understanding:
– Trade Agreement between the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was signed on 17th Feb. 2000.
Joint Commission:
– Based on the signed Agreement on February 1975, the Jordan-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission was established.
10th Joint Ministerial Commission
– The Tenth Session of the Jordan–Pakistan Joint Committee was held on 4–5 February 2026 in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, reflecting the strong and longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries. The discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment cooperation, addressing key technical and regulatory matters, and identifying new opportunities for economic collaboration, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to effective follow-up and implementation of agreed outcomes.
– On the sidelines of the Tenth Session of the Jordan–Pakistan Joint Committee, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Information Technology and Telecommunications was signed between the governments of Jordan and Pakistan. The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital innovation, ICT services, and the development of modern digital infrastructure in both countries.

Jordan top Exports to Pakistan in 2024 are:
– Fertilizers, inorganic chemicals and precious‐metal compounds, pharmaceutical products, meat and seafood preparations, wool and animal‐hair textiles, miscellaneous edible preparations, oil seeds and oleaginous fruits, machinery (including nuclear reactors and boilers), paper and paperboard articles, and essential oils and cosmetics.
Jordan top Imports from Pakistan in 2024 are:
– Other made textile articles (sets and worn clothing), plastics and plastic articles, beverages (spirits and vinegar), cotton, oil seeds and oleaginous fruits, footwear and gaiters, knitted or crocheted fabric, cereals, cereal flours and starches (including milk preparations), and sugars and sugar confectionery.
