ISLAMABAD – Fuel prices have once again been slashed, as the federal government announced cut of Rs. 6 per litre in both petrol and high-speed diesel for next seven days, according to an official confirmation from the Petroleum Division.
Amid latest cut, petrol will now be available at Rs. 403.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs. 403.58 per litre. The revised rates will come into effect immediately from Saturday, May 23, 2026.

This latest relief comes just days after another major price cut last week, when petrol and diesel were each reduced by Rs. 5 per litre, signaling continued volatility in fuel pricing.
Authorities say the repeated downward adjustments reflect ongoing fluctuations in global and domestic energy markets, and are expected to provide much-needed relief to consumers, especially transporters and daily commuters who have been under pressure from high fuel costs.
A formal notification confirming the new fuel prices will be issued by the Petroleum Division.
