Scattered rain, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several other parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and Friday, according to weather forecasts.
The expected rainfall is likely to bring relief from the intense heat that affected many regions during the day.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said a westerly weather system is currently affecting the western and northern parts of the country, while continental air continues to prevail over other regions.
Weather Forecast
Under these conditions, mainly hot and dry weather is expected across most parts of the country on Thursday night. However, windstorms accompanied by rain and thunderstorms are likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir,r and adjoining hilly areas. Isolated hailstorms and heavy rainfall may also occur during this period.
On Friday, hot and dry weather is expected to persist in most parts of the country, with very hot conditions in southern areas during daytime hours. However, windstorms with rain and thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly regions. Isolated hailstorms and heavy rainfall may also occur.
Temperature Outlook
In Islamabad, maximum temperatures are expected to remain between 38°C and 40°C on Friday and Saturday, rising to 39°C to 41°C on Sunday. In Rawalpindi, temperatures are likely to range between 36°C and 38°C on Friday and Saturday, and between 37°C and 39°C on Sunday.

During the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed across most parts of the country, while very hot conditions persisted in central and southern districts. However, rain, wind, and thunderstorms were reported at isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Quetta.
