ISLAMABAD – Electricity consumers in Pakistan continue to face rising bills as Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) consumers pay nine different charges and taxes on a 228-unit bill.
LESCO distributes electricity and manages consumer billing across five specific districts in the Punjab province of Pakistan: Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Okara.

For 228 units consumed in April 2026, the cost of electricity comes to Rs7,546.95, with additional LESCO charges including meter rent (Rs7.5), fuel price adjustment (Rs159.43), F.C. surcharge (Rs736.44), quarterly tariff adjustment (Rs79.89), and fixed charges (Rs700). The total LESCO charges amount to Rs9,230.21.
On top of this, government-imposed charges include electricity duty (Rs114.40), GST (Rs1,653), GST on fuel price adjustment (Rs29), and excise duty on FPA (Rs2.39), totaling Rs1,798.79.
