The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 451 kg narcotics valuing US $ 25.16 million internationally, arrested 19 culprits and impounded 9 vehicles while conducting 15 counter-narcotics strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 115.07 kg heroin, 207 kg hashish and 128.7 kg opium. As per details, the ANF Quetta in collaboration with PNS Makran raided at mountainous area of Shadkor, tehsil Pasni, district Gwadar and recovered 100 kg heroin. As per initial reports, recovered drugs were stored for handing over to some other narco gang.
In another operation, the ANF Quetta intercepted unattended Zamyad vehicle parked near dry rainy nullah located at Dhanak, tehsil Turbat, district Kech and recovered 65 kg hashish from the said vehicle. In third operation, the ANF Quetta intercepted a Hino truck at Quetta Sibi Road, Mastung and recovered 80 kg hashish from the said vehicle. Accused was able to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.
The ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Mehran car near Islamabad Interchange, Old Toll Plaza Motorway and recovered 8 kg heroin from secret cavities of the seized car. Resultantly two accused persons namely Muhammad Iqbal Alias resident of Mansehra and Gul Muhammad (Afghan National) were arrested on the spot.
In another operation, the ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Mehran car at Chungi No. 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad and recovered 8.8 kg hashish and 3.3 kg opium from secret cavities of the said car. Resultantly two accused persons namely Muhammad Sanan resident of Charsadda and a lady accomplice namely Hashmat Bibi resident of Swabi were arrested on the spot.
In third operation, the ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Imran resident of Rawalpindi and recovered 4 kg hashish and 9MM Pistol alongwith magazine and 10x live rounds. He was arrested near Mankala Flyover, Kalar Syedan Road, Rawalpindi. The ANF Lahore raided near Al Nafay Oil Store, Shoukat Khanam Road, Lahore and recovered 6 kg Heroin & 6 kg Hashish from secret cavities of the Toyota Premio car which was parked at the said place. A person onboard namely Mian Imad Gul resident of Charsadda was arrested during the operation.
In another operation, the ANF Lahore arrested two accused persons namely Ansar Javed and Manzoor Elahi both resident of Sialkot and recovered 3 kg opium and 2 kg hashish from their personal possession. Both were arrested near HBL Nawan Pind Ariyan, Sialkot. In third operation, the ANF Lahore intercepted a Canada bound parcel from a private cargo office located at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.070 kg heroin which was tactfully concealed in 1x packet of fabric bag. Sender of the parcel namely Saradar Iqbal resident of Multan and Recipient namely Ahmad Ullah resident of North York, Canada were also arrested in operation. In fourth operation, the ANF Lahore intercepted a motorcycle and recovered 2.2 kg hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused person namely Anwar Shahzad resident of Faisalabad.
He was arrested near GTS Chowk, Faisalabad. In fifth operation, the ANF Lahore intercepted a United Motorcycle near Hafiz Petrolium, Booty Jhal, Faisalabad and recovered 2 kg hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Gul Baz resident of Faisalabad. On a tip-off, the ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP, 161 Wing Mehsud Scouts arrested an accused person namely Abdullah resident of Peshawar and recovered 1 kg hashish from his personal possession. In another operation, the ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP, 105 Wing, Khyber Rifles intercepted a Toyota Pick-up van near Y Junc Check Post and recovered 12 kg hashish, which was tactfully concealed beneath the front seats of the said vehicle.
A person onboard namely Sameen Gul resident of Khyber was arrested on the spot. In third operation, the ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP, 106 Wing arrested two accused persons namely Muhammad Umar and Muhammad Rauf both residents of Khyber and recovered 24 kg hashish from their personal possession. The ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Rohri, Sukkur and recovered 122.4 kg opium from the seized car. An accused namely Fazal Mola resident of Karachi was arrested on the spot. Separate cases in all incidents have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations were underway.
