In a post on X on Friday, António Guterres said the situation in the Middle East is deteriorating at an alarming pace, warning that restrictions on navigation through the Strait of Hormuz are disrupting global energy supplies, transportation networks, manufacturing activity, and food markets—placing severe strain on the world economy.
