Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the Pentagon of misleading the public about the financial impact of the conflict initiated by the Donald Trump administration in coordination with Benjamin Netanyahu.
The United States attacked Iran with the coordination of Israel on February 28. The Pentagon has claimed the Iran war has so far cost $25 billion to the US.

In a post on X, Araghchi alleged that the war has already cost the US around $100 billion—four times higher than official figures.
He further argued that the indirect burden on the US taxpayers is significantly greater, estimating that each household is paying roughly $500 per month, with expenses continuing to rise. Araghchi stated that policies prioritising Israel ultimately come at the expense of the US interests.
