Anti-Measles drive concludes

Incharge Vaccinations drive District Health Authority (DHA) Ch Muhammad Hussain said on Monday that Anti-Measles campaign which started in Murree city on May 15 had concluded successfully.
Hussain told media that over 3600 children between 9 months to five years age, were administered anti-measles injection during the campaign.
He informed that 12 mobile health teams and 3 medical officers participated in the drive to complete the task of immunization.
Hussain said that the purpose for launching the special drive was that a number of suspects cases were reported from the area.
He also informed that around 41,000 children were vaccinated anti-measles injection during a special drive in five Union councils of the district including UC-5, UC-18 in Rawal Town, UC-Chak Jalal Din and Dhamiyal in tehsil Rawalpindi and Ward -1 in Rawalpindi Cantonment area on May 12.
