KARACHI – Pakistan Navy successfully evacuated Sri Lankan crew member from Indonesian-flagged merchant vessel MV Grey Palm, located a staggering 1,500 kilometers off the coast of Gwadar.
The mission was launched after the Sri Lankan Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) issued an urgent call for help. Responding with remarkable speed and precision, the Pakistan Navy dispatched the ships PNS Tabuk and PNS Moawin to the vast, open ocean to reach the ailing sailor.
Upon arrival, the crew member was safely brought onboard PNS Tabuk, where immediate and critical medical care was administered, underscoring the Navy’s ability to perform life-saving interventions even far from home shores.
