KARACHI – Gul Plaza fire in Karachi has claimed the lives of 14 people and left over 22 injured, while 73 individuals remain missing amid ongoing rescue efforts.
The fire, which started on Saturday night and caused widespread devastation in the commercial building, has now been brought under control, but the search for survivors and the missing continues.
Authorities have issued the updated list of missing persons. The new list of missing persons includes Aftab, Mohammad Arif, Umair Nabeel, Abdul Haseeb, Raheela Tabassum, Kainat, Shaista, Maryam Wafa, and Kausar Parveen.
The authorities are urgently seeking information about missing minors such as 12-year-old Hamza, 13-year-old Haider, and 14-year-old Hussam Mohammad.
Other missing individuals include 62-year-old Abu Bakar, Mohammad Atahar, Shaz Baloch, Kamran, and Mohammad Shaz.
The missing list also include Muhammad Hanif, Sarfraz, Islam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Asif Khan, Mohammad Ramzan, Khizr, Imran, Sher Baz Ali, Ramzan Ali, and Saad.
Moreover, several other names like Muhammad Mohsin, Mohammad Hanif, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Saad, and Misbah are still missing.
As the situation remains dire, authorities are urging cooperation to locate the missing persons, with rescue operations continuing at full scale.
