PESHAWAR – Inspired Gambit–2026 Drills bring together elite forces of Pakistan Army and the United States Armym, marking 13th edition of this long-standing bilateral training series, which has been held since 1995, the two-week exercise focused on enhancing readiness and interoperability against emerging security threats.
The exercise reached high-profile peak on 15 January with Distinguished Visitors’ Day at the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Pabbi. The event was graced by Her Excellency Ms. Natalie Baker, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States to Pakistan, along with senior US military officials and the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps.
During visit, the dignitaries were provided with an in-depth briefing on the exercise’s scope, objectives, and operational drills. Both armies demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill, earning high praise from the visiting delegation.
Exercise Inspired Gambit–2026 aims to strengthen bilateral military cooperation by facilitating the exchange of counter-terrorism strategies, refining tactical drills, and enhancing operational interoperability between the two forces. Analysts say such exercises play a critical role in preparing militaries for modern security challenges and building long-term defense partnerships.
