BAGHDAD – President of Pakistan Asif Zardari made a momentous journey reaffirming spiritual devotion and interfaith harmony as he visited sacred cities of Najaf and Kufa, paying homage at some of the most revered Islamic sites.
During his visit, President offered his respects at the holy shrine of Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf, reciting Fatiha in a deeply moving gesture of reverence. His presence drew attention to the spiritual significance of these sacred places and underscored his commitment to promoting unity among the Muslim Ummah.
President Zardari also performed Nawafil prayers at the iconic Grand Mosque of Kufa and visited the historic house associated with Hazrat Ali (R.A), honoring centuries of Islamic heritage.
In addition to his spiritual engagements, the President met with key administrators and religious preachers. These high-level interactions included the Governor of Najaf and other senior officials, reflecting the importance of fostering dialogue and collaboration.
Throughout his visit, President Zardari prayed fervently for peace, unity, and harmony among Muslims worldwide, sending a powerful message of solidarity and faith.
