The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Monday has become the first Chamber of the country which has installed modern and state-of-the-art disinfection system to overcome coronavirus threat.
LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh inaugurated the disinfection system while Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar, Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad Bhatti, Ghulam Sarwar Malik and a large number of businessmen were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar and Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad said that installation of disinfection system is the part of LCCI precautionary measures against Covid–19.
They said that this initiative is the first of kind in the country taken by any Chamber.
“The disinfection system is enough to kill the virus and to ensure the health of LCCI members”, they added.
The LCCI office-bearers said it is a war against Covid–19 that can be won with collective efforts. They said that government has taken a wise decision by opening various businesses. Now traders would have to ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
They urged the masses to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Cover coughs and sneezes. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
They said that as an individual, people can lower their risk of infection by reducing rate of contact with other people.
