Youtuber Rajab Butt Withdraws Bail Plea In Alleged Rape Case As Investigation Clears Him

LONDON – The UK Home Department has cancelled the visa of social media influencer Rajab Butt, who has been hiding for months due to cases registered against him in Pakistan.

Reports said the UK authorities have cancelled the visa due to incomplete documentations submitted by Butt along with the visa application.

It is unclear if the TikTok star will return to Pakistan or move to other country as he could face arrest in case related to alleged promotion of a gambling app.

The development comes days after Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides also held detailed discussions on the repatriation of Pakistanis residing illegally in the United Kingdom.

Extradition documents for Shehzad Akbar and Adil Raja were handed over by the Government of Pakistan, with talks focusing on their immediate transfer to Pakistan.

The minister emphasized immediate repatriation of these individuals as they are wanted in Pakistan.

He also presented concrete evidence against Pakistani citizens engaged in propaganda. He said Pakistan fully believes in freedom of expression but fake news poses a challenge for every country.

He said no country can allow individuals living abroad to malign and slander the state and its institutions.

Mohsin Naqvi further said Pakistan would welcome British cooperation in facilitating the return of those involved in anti-Pakistan propaganda.
