ISLAMABAD – Petrol prices in Pakistan are likely to decrease in upcoming fortnightly review for December 2025 in line with fluctuations in international market.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has received the working on petrol prices. It will send a summary to the Ministry of Finance after reviewing the recommended change in the petroleum prices.
Reports suggest that the petrol price may drop by Rs3.75 per litre while the high speed diesel is likely to see a decline of Rs6.10 per litre.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil is expected to fall by Rs75 paisas while the rate of light speed diesel may plunge by Rs6.35 per litre for December 2025.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan Today
Currently, the price of petrol in Pakistan stands at Rs265.45 per liter as of November 2025, while the price of high-speed diesel is Rs284.44 per liter.
The light speed diesel and kerosene oil is available for Rs159.76 and Rs176.81 per litre, respectively.
Expected Petrol Prices for December 2025
The petrol price is expected to drop to Rs261.7 if the reported decline of Rs3.75 is approved by the federal government.
Similarly, the price of high speed diesel and light speed diesel is likely to dip to Rs278.34 and Rs153.41 per litre, respectively.
The price of kerosene oil is likely to plunge to Rs176.06 per litre.
When Will New Petrol Prices Be Announced in Pakistan?
The Ministry of Finance will announce the new petrol prices on November 30 night after getting approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The new rates will come into effect from December 1 until December 15, 2025.
