LAHORE – The Punjab government has announced that the salaries and pensions for government employees will be released earlier than usual.
A notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department confirmed that the payments for October will be made on Friday, October 31, 2025. As there are weekly holidays on November 1 and 2 (Saturday and Sunday).
The decision, aimed at ensuring employees and pensioners receive their dues before the holidays, comes as part of the government’s efforts to accommodate the workforce during the long weekend.
The notification, signed by Section Officer (FR) Muhammad Younas, has been circulated to all concerned departments, including the Accountant General Punjab and district accounts officers. They have been directed to complete the payment process by October 31.
The circular also extends to all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and heads of subordinate departments.
In addition, the Lahore High Court Registrar, District and Sessions Judges, as well as offices of the Governor and Chief Minister have been informed about the decision.
