Dacoits killed a man on resistance during a dacoity bid on Midad Kheil road in the jurisdiction of Mulazai Police Station, police said Wednesday. An FIR lodged by Habib ur Rehman, son of Abdur Rehman Marwat, resident of village Kakakheil, said that he was going on foot to his land in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday along with his cousin Razaullah Marwat to bring fodder when two unidentified armed persons wearing masks intercepted their way near Midad Kheil at around 01:00 am.
The dacoits shot dead Razaullah after he resisted to their demand to leave off the mobile phones and cash, the FIR noted, adding the dacoits took away with them mobile phones and cash from both of them. Soon after the incident, Mulazai Police reached the crime spot and shifted the dead body to DHQ Hospital where the body was handed over to heirs after completion of postmortem and other legal formalities. Police has registered a case and started investigation to arrest the culprits.
Meanwhile, a twelve-year-old boy was drowned in the Choya Nullah, police said Wednesday. One Abubakar Bhitani was taking a bath in the Choya water nullah near station road when he drowned in the water. The child was recovered from the water after a joint rescue operation by locals and the Jawans of Pak Army. He was rushed to DHQ Hospital Tank in precarious condition where he breathed his last.
