Augustine welcomes PM’s announcement on lockdown

Welcoming the recent statement by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Provincial Minister for Human Rights Ejaz Alam Augustine said that the decision to open the lockdown step-by-step by the PM, in view the public service and alleviating the problems of the common man proved once again real qualities of a true leader.
He said it was fact that due to coronavirus country being locked down, which particularly affected the working class but now it can be hoped that there will be a gradual eased of lockdown in the coming days.
The minister appealed to the nation to ensure SOPs by the government as the social distancing and wearing masks can protect from the virus.
The minister said that on the special directive of Imran Khan, all the public representatives are engaged in their respective constituencies to perform proactive role for the deserving or needy people.
He said that despite the difficult circumstances, the government announced a total economic package of Rs 1.25 trillion, which would ensure the provision of Rs12000 to 10 million deserving families on the basis of transparency and merit.
