Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the philanthropists and welfare organisations are playing commendable role for the support of the marginalized communities and supporting the government at this moment of trial.
Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid met representatives of private welfare organisations at her office on Monday. Present in the meeting were Khalid Mumtaz Qazi from NIMIR Industrial Chemicals and Shabbir Hussain from ZIL Limited. The organizations donated 15,000 soaps for hand washing among deserving people. The minister praised this gesture of generosity from the private organizations.
The minister said, “I greatly appreciate this great contribution by the private organizations. At this moment of trial, philanthropists and welfare organisations are playing commendable role for the support of the marginalized communities and supporting the government. I pray to the Almighty to accept these efforts by these welfare organizations. The efforts for the support of the daily wagers and labourers are ongoing currently.
Treatment is being provided corona patients and doctors, nurses and paramedical staff are providing 24 hour services to corona patients in Punjab. Dr. Yasmin Rashid further said, “As a nation we have to win the battle against coronavirus”. This updates and current situation is shared with people on daily basis. We have to maintain unity in our ranks during these difficult times. The recovered patients are returning to their homes in Punjab.
