Trade bodies warns to open businesses come what may

The Sindh TajirIttehad on Thursday threaten a protest campaign against the provincial government. Members of the union said that they would give themselves up for voluntary arrests if a mechanism to open businesses was not put into action.
Members of the TajirIttehad also claimed that Sindh government did not care for its traders and daily wage earners and has left them to God’s mercy alone.
The members also threatened the government saying that the time for dialogue was now over and markets all over the province would now be opened, come what may. Meanwhile, Spokesman to Sindh government Murtaza Wahab has said that those who have flared up small business owners and traders against Sindh government would soon be brought to the book and be unveiled for the world to see.
He added that the nation was demanding accountability on wheat and sugar corruption, he said that the people are now fully cognizant of who is actually working on-ground and who is just busy levying blames each day.

It is pertinent to mention that President All City TajirIttehad Hammad Poonawala was taken under arrest by police on Wednesday over allegations of defying coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
The police took him into custody along with four others.The traders had forcibly opened shops disregarding government orders, the police therefore took action and ‘Iron Market’ area of the metropolis was completely shut down.
All City Tajir Ittehad members have claimed that the police roughed them up and forced them to shut down shops.
