Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing &Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the oceans, adding that China had always stood by Pakistan in its difficulties and never left Pakistan alone.
He said that the way Chinese were helping Pakistan in this difficult time, when they themselves were battling the Coronavirus pandemic was highly commendable.
The minister made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of a Chinese company working with the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board here on Thursday.
On the occasion, the Chinese delegation provided the provincial Minister with protective equipment including medical masks, gloves, temperature checking machines, PPEs, spray machines, etc. to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh was also present on the occasion.
Nasir Shah thanked the Chinese delegation and said that the essential items provided by them would be very helpful in preventing the spread of Coronavirus. The minister said that all the assistance being provided by China to Pakistan in the time of pandemic would always be remembered. Speaking on the occasion, the members of Chinese delegation said that China would never leave Pakistan alone in this difficult time.
He said that China would continue to help Pakistan till the last patient of Coronavirus recovered in Pakistan. The members of the delegation said that China-Pakistan relationship was not only very strong at the governmental level but also at the people’s level it was exemplary.
Meanwhile, Nasir Shah has said that Sindh government had decided not to resume all trade and business activities immediately. The provincial Information Minister said that businessmen would be allowed to open their businesses in phases. He added that any businessman who did not followed government’s health advisory or violated standard operating procedures would not be allowed to do his business. He said that the government had also decided that action in accordance with the law would be taken against the traders who tried to provoke the people.
The provincial Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that it did not suit a businessman to take people out on the streets and force them to riots. Syed Nasir Shah said that the statements of businessmen against the government were regrettable.
