TANK Renowned Pakistani cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi on Monday distributed relief packages here among 1000 families of South Waziristan. Addressing a joint press conference with Deputy Commissioner Tribal District SWA Hameedullah Khattak in DC Compound, Afridi said that tribesmen of the country have rendered unmatchable sacrifices for Pakistan. He mentioned that he had been eager to visit tribal areas to interact with tribesmen closely to unveil their hardships and help them out. Afridi alas “Lala” said that Afridi Foundation has been active to approach the poor families of remote areas of the country affected by lockdown after the outbreak of Covid-19. He maintained that he would see and apprise the Prime Minister Imran Khan about the sufferings of tribesmen for initiation of remedies by government at the earlier. Earlier, Shahid Afridi distributed relief packages among 1000 poor families of SWA in political compound and vowed his continuous support for tribesmen besides appealing the philanthropists to join hands with “Afridi Foundation”.
