Sindh Information Secretary Nadeemur Rehman Memon has emphasized the crucial role of the Information Department in bridging the gap between the government and the media while ensuring the promotion of welfare initiatives. He stressed the importance of utilizing print and digital media effectively to deliver government actions to the public promptly and ensure the dissemination of verified news.

He shared these views during a visit to the Pakistan Observer Karachi Station. Accompanying him were Director General of Sindh Information, Muhammad Saleem Khan, Director of Advertising, Muhammad Yousuf Kaboro, and Deputy Director of Advertising, Sarang Latif Chandio. During the visit, the Director of Marketing at Pakistan Observer, Syed Tausif Muhammad Ali, briefed the delegation about the newspaper’s efforts in highlighting Sindh government initiatives through informative and impactful reporting.

He also discussed the challenges related to advertisements and pending dues and requested support to resolve them. The Information Secretary assured that the department is actively working towards fair advertisement distribution and timely payment of dues.  Director General Muhammad Saleem Khan reiterated the deep connection between the press and information and praised the legacy of Pakistan Observer, originally founded by Zahid Malik. He acknowledged the efforts of Faisal Zahid Malik and Gauhar Zahid Malik in maintaining this tradition of truthful journalism. The delegation commended the role of Pakistan Observer in delivering quality journalism and described it as a valuable public service. They also cut a cake to celebrate the newspaper’s anniversary, adding a celebratory touch to the event.
