CBEC-SIUT to host global bioethics conference today

The Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Culture (CBEC) at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) is celebrating two decades of excellence with an international bioethics conference. Scheduled for today, January 10, the event will take place at the Agha Hasan Abedi Auditorium, Deewan Farooq Medical Complex, SIUT. Titled “The Warp and Woof of Human Morality,” the conference promises an engaging lineup of discussions for professionals and the general public. Distinguished speakers include Dr. Caesar Atuire from Ghana, President of IAB, joining virtually, and Dr. Paul Lombardo, a legal historian from the United States. The event will also feature prominent national figures, including Dr. Arfana Mallah, Dr. Fatima Hassan, Dr. Syed Nomanul Haq, and Dr. Nauman Faizi. Adding a cultural touch, Karachi schoolchildren will perform a play, and an Urdu literature session will highlight contributions from renowned literary personalities Iftikhar Arif, Zehra Nigah, Noor-ul-Huda Shah, and Harris Khalique.
