PESHAWAR – Security forces conducted a series of successful intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, killing thirteen Khwarij militants, ISPR said.
In a statement, Army’s media wing said operations took place in three separate districts, including Bannu, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan, where security forces launched targeted strikes following intelligence reports on the presence of militants.
The first operation was conducted in Jani Khel area of Bannu District, where security forces engaged a Khwarij stronghold, eliminating two militants. Another five militants were killed and eight others were wounded in second operation in North Waziristan.
During this operation, Major Muhammad Awais, a brave officer from Narowal District, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front. His supreme sacrifice highlighted the bravery and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Third operation was conducted in South Waziristan in which six militants were killed with eight more injured.
Security forces continue to carry out sanitization operations in these areas to eliminate any remaining militants and to secure the region. The sacrifices of brave soldiers, including Major Awais, serve to reinforce the determination of Pakistan’s armed forces in their ongoing fight against terrorism and extremism.
