Riffat Mukhtar has officially assumed the position of Inspector General (IG) Motorway Police. According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, he previously served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Interior and has held several key positions during his career, including IG Sindh and RPO Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur. The spokesperson highlighted Riffat Mukhtar’s reputation as a professional and honest police officer with extensive experience in law enforcement.
Upon taking charge, he expressed his commitment to strengthening the institution and prioritizing public service. In his statement, Riffat Mukhtar remarked, “The Motorway Police is renowned worldwide for its integrity and professional excellence. Officers are instructed to remain courteous and promptly address travelers’ concerns.”
He further emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of citizens and providing a secure and comfortable travel experience for all passengers, making it his top priority.
