A key security meeting was held at the Headquarters of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), chaired by DG Rangers (Sindh) Major General Muhammad Shamriz and IG Sindh.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner of Karachi, Additional IGs (Karachi and Special Branch), Additional Secretary of the Home Department, Joint DG IB, DIGs (CTD Karachi, West, Traffic, East, SPU, CIA, and South), as well as senior officers from the police, Rangers, and other sensitive agencies. The progress on the security plan approved in the previous meeting was reviewed, and security arrangements for the upcoming events of the Quaid Day, Christmas, and New Year were discussed. During the meeting, the current law and order situation in Karachi was assessed, and directives were issued to accelerate joint operations by Rangers and police against habitual criminals.

The process of checking at the city’s entry and exit points and inter-provincial checkpoints was instructed to be made stricter. Additionally, in line with government-issued orders, the meeting decided to enforce a ban on the display of weapons and aerial firing during the New Year celebrations and to take strict action against those violating the law.

A joint security plan involving Rangers, police, and other law enforcement agencies was approved to ensure foolproof security and address any security concerns during the Quaid Day, Christmas, and New Year events.
