The Aziz Bhatti Police on Sunday filed a case against 20 to 25 unidentified individuals who forcibly opened the water tanker valves near Aladdin Park on Rashid Minhas Road. The case was registered on the complaint of Shehab Ali, the in-charge of the Water and Sewerage Corporation at the Nipa Hydrant.

In his statement, Shehab Ali explained that he is the official in charge at the Nipa Hydrant of the KW&SC. On December 22, he had dispatched four water tankers filled with water from the official hydrant to provide water to citizens.

However, near Aladdin Park, 20 to 25 individuals forcibly stopped the tankers and opened the valves, spilling the water onto the road. The water spillage caused a disruption in traffic flow. The protesters fled the scene after wasting the water, but the tanker drivers are expected to identify the individuals responsible when they are apprehended.
