ISLAMABAD – F-8 Exchange Chowk in the capital city Islamabad is set to be opened for traffic on December 24, after being constructed in record time.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange and Serena Chowk Interchange projects to review the ongoing construction work. He inspected the progress of both mega projects, observing the construction of underpasses and flyovers.
Naqvi announced that Serena Chowk Interchange will be inaugurated in January, having been completed within two months. He directed that any obstacles to the completion of the projects should be removed promptly, ensuring that both projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He emphasized the importance of completing the projects in record time to provide relief to citizens of Islamabad from traffic issues. He also gave special instructions to ensure the protection of trees during the construction process.
Minister directed that work on different sections of both projects should continue around the clock. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa and contractors briefed him on the progress of the projects, stating that work on flyovers and underpasses is ongoing simultaneously. Federal Secretary Interior Khuram Agha was also present on the occasion during visit.
