A vendor remarked, “The winter season brings a boost to peanut sales, and with the rising demand, prices naturally go up.” Residents of the city say that eating warm peanuts in the chilly weather is an unmatched delight, but the rising costs have made it less affordable for many. Currently, peanuts are being sold at prices ranging from Rs. 750 to Rs. 800 per kilogram. Whereas Parachanar peanuts are sold from Rs 1150 to Rs 1200, which is higher compared to last year.
