Pakistani content creators continue to fall victim to video leak scandals, and the latest on the grim list is TV Show host Mona Alam, who called out the alarming trend.
The anchorperson pledged to take legal action after being linked to explicit pictures and videos that are doing rounds online.
In a social media post, the journalist denounced the malicious trend of video leak by online trolls who continue to share them by falseling roping in Mona. The victim emphasized that the woman in the video is a proven criminal, sharing her own image to clarify the situation.
She stressed that her character remains untarnished and warned that those behind the smear campaign against her would face legal consequences.
The latest incident is part of wider issue involving AI-generated content and misleading pictures targeting TikTokers.
Several social media sensations including TV show host Mathira also fell victim to the incident as she addressed viral video allegedly involving her, confirming it was fabricated using AI.
Meanwhile, activists denounced spreading fake videos, and urged the masses not to engage with or share the content and to report it to the respective platforms.
Minahil Malik Video Leak
TikTokers Minahil Malik, was also been targeted by leaked private videos. A recent video allegedly featuring Minahil in an inappropriate act has gone viral, though its authenticity is uncertain.
Minahil previously reported AI-generated videos to the FIA. Despite her denials and claims of manipulation, the leaks have led to significant online bullying. Similar incidents have affected other TikTokers like Imsha Rehman, who deactivated her social media accounts following privacy breaches.
