PAARL – In the first ODI against South Africa, Agha Salman delivered an all-round performance and broke Mohammad Hafeez’s record.
Pakistan defeated South Africa by just three wickets to claim victory in the first ODI played in Paarl on Tuesday night.
Opener Saim Ayub scored a century, while Agha Salman played an unbeaten innings of 82 runs off 90 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes.
In addition, he bowled 8 overs and took 4 wickets for 32 runs.
The first player to achieve this feat was Sir Viv Richards against New Zealand in 1987, followed by Graeme Hick in 2000, Sanath Jayasuriya in 2003, Chris Gayle in 2003, Mohammad Hafeez in 2015, A. Ilyas in 2020 and now Agha Salman who earned this honor in yesterday’s match against South Africa.
