Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on Tuesday they were fully prepared to kick off the Civil disobedience movement, supposed to be announced on Tuesday, yet it will commence after the green signal from the Party Supremo Imran Khan
“Though we are ready, the civil disobedience movement will commence only after receiving instructions from PTI founder Imran Khan,” the senior PTI leader declared while talking to newsmen in Peshawar after appearing at Peshawar High Court where the court extended his protective bail till January 16 2024.
He told media persons that the movement would be carried out as soon as the orders were given by the party founder.
Chief Minister Gandapur expressed frustration over his recent inability to meet Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated. He said that when he attempted to meet the PTI leader at Adiala Jail, he was denied access.
“I was told that I was not allowed to meet,” Gandapur said adding it was ridiculous that restrictions are on him despite his position as the representative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier, the Peshawar High Court extended his protective bail until January 16. The protective bail also applies to PTI leader Shibli Faraz, with the court granting him similar protection till January 16, 2025.
