Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to China was highly successful, during which Chinese companies committed to investing over 13 billion rupees in Punjab. According to media, significant progress was made towards economic development and global partnerships in Punjab.
Following the investment conference hosted by Maryam Nawaz in China, Chinese companies announced their investments in the province. During the Punjab Investment Conference, important agreements were signed with Chinese companies in sectors such as IT, environment, and green energy. Through the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Gobi Partners announced the establishment of a 50 million-dollar (13.88 billion rupees) investment fund in Punjab.
An MOU was signed between Chinese company Solar N Plus and the Punjab government to promote solar technology, while an agreement was also made between Gobi Partners and the Bank of Punjab. The Gobi Fund will be dedicated to promoting technology startups.
The agreement aims to enhance the financial system for startups and SMEs in Punjab. The Gobi Fund will support businesses through loan provision, equity investment, financial solutions, and mentorship programs.
According to the announcement, the Gobi Fund will strengthen businesses in Punjab and ensure sustainable development in the region, leading Punjab towards a sustainable and digital economy. The fund is committed to making Punjab a regional leader in technology and entrepreneurship.
