LAHORE – Cold waves and foggy weather will likely prevail in Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, a cold wave is likely to persist in Lahore and most districts of the province on Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday.
Very cold/partly cloudy weather is likely in Murree, Galiyat and surroundings. Shallow to moderate fog (in patches) is likely at few places in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar and surroundings during night and morning hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 04-06°C on Monday and 05-07°C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Extremely cold weather prevailed in Murree, Galliyat and upper districts.
Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where the temperature dropped to the freezing point (0°C). Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 51 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 07°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 35 per cent.
