ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi called on Wafaq-ul-Madaris Head Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi at Jamia Ashrafia on Monday and discussed the matter of religious seminaries Bill.
Mohsin Naqvi inquired about Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi’s well-being and expressed his best wishes for him.
The Interior Minister also had a detailed discussion with Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi regarding the Religious Seminaries Bill.
On this occasion, Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi stated that there should be no politics regarding the affairs of religious seminaries, and that they would play a positive role in addressing the issue of seminaries.
Maulana Fazal Rahim also suggested that, similar to the federal system, seminaries in Punjab should be brought under the department of education.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi thanked Maulana Fazal Rahim for his assurance to play a positive role regarding seminaries. Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi offered prayers for the well-being of the country as well as for its security, development and prosperity.
