KARACHI – The Sindh government has taken major decisions to ensure transparency in the retake of Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), which is scheduled for tomorrow, December 8.

Reports said the Sindh Home Department has ordered the imposition of Section 144 around the examination centers and the installation of mobile jammers during the test, which is mandatory for admissions in MBBS and BDS programmes.

The police will ensure proper security arrangements at the medical colleges and university test centers. It will be prohibited to bring digital devices, mobile phones, and ladies’ purses into the examination centers. Additionally, the movement of unrelated individuals and vehicles around the test centers will also be restricted.

The MDCAT will be held tomorrow at eight different locations in Sindh, including the University of Karachi, NED University, Public School Hyderabad, Police Training Center Larkana, Mehran University Jamshoro, Public Health School Hyderabad, IBA Public School Sukkur, and Quaid-e-Awam University in Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah).

In October this year, it is recalled that the Sindh High Court ordered the retaking of the MDCAT test.
