Sindh issues schedule for academic year 2025-26 [Exams, Results, Holidays Details]

KARACHI – The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department on Thursday approved schedule for new academic year 2025-26.

The approval was granted in a meeting of the steering committee, stating that academic year for schools will begin from April 1, 2025 while the academic year for colleges will commence from August 1, 2025.

The department has approved the schedule for annual exams, results and holidays for the academic year 2025-26.

Matric, Inter Exams 2025-26 Dates

As per the schedule, the annual exams of class 9 and 10 will begin from March 15 across the province. Similarly, the intermediate examinations will commence from April 15.

Matric, Inter Results Dates

The educational boards will declare the results of matric class on July 15 while the final results intermediate both parts will be announce on August 15.

Summer, Winter Vacation Schedule

The department has made no change in summer and winter vacations for academic year 2025-26. It said the summer vacation will be observed from June 1, 2025 to July 31, 2025.

Similarly, the winter vacation will be observed from December 22, 2025 to December 31, 2025 during the academic year.

Syllabus Reduced for Matric, Inter Exams 2025

The department has decided to reduce the syllabus by 25 percent for matric and intermediate students for upcoming annual examinations.
