Bank customers in the country are facing queues while depositing money in commercial banks amid sluggish internet speed after recent anti-government protests in the capital.
These transactions now take hours, causing widespread frustration among users who are venting out anger on tellers. Some even raised questions with long queues outside banks and ATMs.
After weekend, several ATMs were not working properly or taking more time than usual due to the lack of internet connectivity, further exacerbating the situation.
The ongoing disruptions even sparked calls for Sharif-led government to address internet issues and restore normal banking services, as people continue to face delays in their daily financial activities.
