TEHRAN – Foreign Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted regional connectivity in talks with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi in the northeast city of Mashhad.
Dar and Mr. Araghchi discussed deepening cooperation between Islamabad and Tehran across various sectors at the sidelines of the 28th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Ministers meeting, which Dar is attending in Iran.
The two also exchanged views on mutual interests and regional developments, agreeing to enhance collaboration in multiple areas.
This marks the second meeting between Dar and Araghchi in recent times, after their previous talks in early November when Iranian Foreign Minister visited Islamabad. The meeting primarily focused on the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Gaza and the broader regional security concerns.
At ongoing ECO ministerial meeting moot, FM is expected to sign the “Charter for ECO Clean Energy Centre.” In his address, he will reiterate the country’s commitment to the ECO Charter and advocate for increased regional connectivity through improved infrastructure.
