Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, currently imprisoned in the United States, has been blocked from meeting with Imam Omar Sulaiman, according to a report by Al Jazeera. Sulaiman attempted to visit Siddiqui but was prevented from doing so by prison officials.

Imam Sulaiman expressed concerns about efforts to hide human rights violations occurring in the facility where Siddiqui is incarcerated.
In a significant development, Dr. Siddiqui has filed a detailed lawsuit against the U.S. government, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and various prison officials in federal court, alleging severe infringements on her constitutional and human rights. The lawsuit, which spans approximately 61 pages, was submitted two months ago to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Her legal team, consisting of Naeem Haroon Sukhiya, Maria Kri, and Clive Stafford Smith, has outlined claims of sexual assault, violence, lack of medical care, and religious discrimination.
