ISLAMABAD – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza visited Forward Naval Operational Base in Ormara today to review operational preparedness of Pakistan’s naval forces.

Gen Sahir Shamshad was briefed on prevailing security threats and defense strategies in place for the region. Chairman was given comprehensive overview of operational capabilities of the Navy, including a tour of surface ships and a submarine. He assessed the combat readiness of the naval units deployed at sea.

During his visit, General Mirza interacted with personnel stationed at the coastal base and onboard naval vessels. He expressed satisfaction with the high operational standards and morale of the troops.

CJCSC commended the naval forces for their readiness and urged them to maximize the use of modern weapons and equipment to safeguard the nation’s defense.

The visit underscored the importance of maintaining a strong, well-prepared military presence in critical coastal and maritime areas.
