LAHORE – The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has made it mandatory to obtain police character certificate if any Pakistani citizen is travelling to the UAE for employment on work visa.
The latest change in the requirements has been made by the Pakistan’s Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment to address the complaints received from the UAE.
The UAE officials had sent complaints against several Pakistanis for their involvement in illegal activities, including begging, in the Arab country.
Police Character Certificate in Punjab
Police Character Certificate is required for travelling abroad for jobs, immigration etc. Previously, it was a difficult task to obtain character certificate for citizens.
However, the Police Khidmat Markaz has made it easier as citizen can now apply for Character Certificate from any center all over Punjab rather than physically visiting that particular district/address for which character certificate is required.

Police Character Certificate Fee in Punjab for UAE Work Visa
The fee for obtaining a police character certificate in Punjab stands at Rs500. The applicants can deposit the fee at any counter of the Police Khidmat Markaz.
Turn Around Time
The applicants will get the certificate within thre working days after application date.
