Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, along with Deputy Commissioner Keamari, Tahir Javed Cheema, and other officials, visited District Keamari to review the progress of various ongoing development projects across its sub-divisions. Deputy Commissioner Cheema, Assistant Commissioners, and relevant officers provided a detailed briefing on the status of the projects.
The Commissioner directed officials to ensure all work is completed by June and that it adheres to required standards and procedural guidelines. The Commissioner’s visit to the newly constructed Government Boys Primary School in Abidabad marked a significant stride in improving the district’s education sector.
Officials informed him that 21 primary and elementary schools are under construction with a total budget allocation of Rs. 259.86 million. To further enhance educational facilities, the Commissioner instructed the Deputy Commissioner to coordinate with the government for the timely provision of furniture and teachers for the newly built schools. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the education system in the district.
The Commissioner also inspected ongoing infrastructure projects, including road construction, footpaths, and drainage systems in areas such as Jahanabad, Baldia, and Gulshan Mazdoor. In Jahanabad, officials reported that 70% of the work is complete, including a 2,400-foot-long road and accompanying footpath. Meanwhile, in Gulshan Mazdoor, construction of a 14,000-foot-long sewerage line is underway.
Commissioner Naqvi stressed the importance of timely completion, stating, “These development projects are integral to the government’s efforts to enhance the city’s infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents.”
