LAHORE – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said the famous revolution was seen running through the streets of Islamabad on Tuesday.

Azma Bokhari said that in the current times, five calls were made to Islamabad but no one paid attention except for a few government employees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Everyone else ignored the call for ‘jihad,’ and the media showed the truth without falling for propaganda. As soon as the lights went out, the revolution ran away. This was a failed attempt to repeat the events of May 9, but the state responded excellently,” said Azma Bokhari while addressing a press conference at DGPR on Wednesday.

Azma Bukhari said that the procession of shroud-wearers ran away as soon as they saw the angel of death. Their leadership was nowhere to be seen. Some leaders kept taking selfies, while others staged fake arrests, leading to the dramatic end of the disruptive procession.

The Information Minister added that two civilians were killed and 20 were injured in Islamabad. They will definitely investigate whose weapons caused the injuries or fatalities because our police were unarmed.

She also mentioned that there has been a lot of discussion on social media about Bushra Bibi.

Bushra Bibi fled yesterday despite promising people that she wouldn’t leave without Imran Khan. Yesterday, Gunda Poor was beaten with sticks and insulted, and people even punctured his car tires to prevent him from escaping.

Azma Bukhari said that Bushra Bibi ruined the politics of Imran Khan with her illiteracy and inexperience, adding that one could not become a political woman with amulets and superstitions. These people, she said, fled and left their clothes behind. She stated that the state has many ways of dealing with such situations.

The Punjab information minister said that PTI’s own people are questioning Bushra Bibi, asking why the place wasn’t occupied once it was secured.

“People had no food or drink, yet Bushra Bibi and Gunda Poor continued eating burgers. The blankets from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s PDMA were used by the protesters,” she accused.

Azma was of the view that a Belarusian delegation was present in Islamabad, and they must have witnessed how much disgrace the country faced.

Now, she said, the PTI and its leaders should be ashamed, especially since they were expecting the arrival of millions of people.

She stated that the followers of this party should be asked why they came to pick up the founder of PTI, yet the leadership of their own party didn’t stand with them.

The minister said that PTI’ opposition leader in Punjab Assembly was seen driving around with a flag on his car.

“Where was he yesterday? PTI seems to be finished in Punjab,” asked Azma, calling Shahbaz Gill a political vulture, who couldn’t even breathe when the pressure was on him.

Azma Bukhari stated that they would face a lot of beatings if they call for another protest.

She asked, “Why don’t they protest in their own province? If they had any shame, they will not call for any more protests,” adding that Hamad Azhar was with two or three people, and only 80 people were arrested across Lahore and Punjab.

She emphasized that they had always advocated for the negotiations but their nature is one of disruption.

“There were no negotiations with terrorists in the past, and there will be none in the future,” said Azma Bokhari.

She stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the monitoring of food prices.

“Despite road blockages, no shortage of goods occurred, although the prices of some items did rise. By this evening, the prices of vegetables and other goods will stabilize,” she added.
