Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed grief over the martyrdom of Rangers and police personnel at the hands of protesters in Islamabad, urging Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to act responsibly and prioritize national well-being over political interests. Dr. Siddiqui stressed that Pakistan cannot afford any form of unrest in the current climate. He remarked, “Every political party, including PTI, and every citizen has the right to protest, but challenging the authority of the government is an irresponsible act that does not befit any patriotic political entity.”
He added, “Governments come and go, and protests within the bounds of the law are acceptable. However, no Pakistani can tolerate actions against the country. Such measures, including the martyrdom of state personnel or direct attacks on the state, cannot be undone by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) .”
Dr. Siddiqui thanked Karachi’s peaceful and patriotic citizens for not participating in anti-state protests or disruptive activities. He reiterated that the country’s unity and stability should remain paramount.
