LAHORE–Smog/fog will continue to persist in Lahore and plains of Punjab with on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these weather conditions, cold and dry weather will likely prevail in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.
Smog will continue to persist in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Jhang, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan and surrounding areas on Tuesday night and the following two days. Fog, in patches, will prevail in Lahore and other plains during morning/night hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 12-14°C on Wednesday and 11-13°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, smog/fog prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Per the data collected from IQAir website at 08:50 pm, Lahore is the third most polluted major city in the world with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 232 (very unhealthy).
Cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab. Murree remained the coldest place where the minimum temperature was recorded at 04°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 45 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 13°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 46 per cent.
